A Story of Hope – Beautiful ICLAM Orphanage Uganda
It all began with a simple act of love.
In a small church, 13 vulnerable children found care, hope, and a place to belong. Guided by compassion, Bishop Friday opened his own home to them, providing the little he had and trusting God for the rest.
As word spread, more children in need came, and what started as a small gathering quickly grew into a mission. Seeing the importance of education in breaking the cycle of poverty, Bishop Friday went a step further—establishing not just an orphanage, but also a school to give these children a future.
Today, Beautiful ICLAM Orphanage Uganda stands as a home of hope, where children are nurtured, educated, and empowered to dream again.
From 13 children… to a growing family.
From a home… to a future.
We introduced our education program because we believe every child deserves more than care—they deserve a future they can build for themselves. Many of the children who come to us have had their schooling interrupted or never had the chance to attend at all. Education became our way of restoring hope and opening doors that once seemed closed.
Through learning, the children are gaining confidence, discovering their abilities, and beginning to dream again. They are learning how to read, write, and think independently, but also how to believe in themselves and their potential. School has given them structure, purpose, and a sense of belonging.
We are already seeing change—children who once felt uncertain about tomorrow are now speaking about their goals, working hard in class, and supporting one another. Education is not just transforming their knowledge; it is shaping their lives, giving them dignity, and preparing them for a brighter, more independent future.
How Agriculture is helping us today
Agriculture as an essential part of our home because we wanted a sustainable way to support and care for our growing family. With limited resources and increasing needs, agriculture helps us provide food while also teaching the children valuable life skills.
Through farming, the children learn responsibility, teamwork, and the importance of hard work. They take part in planting, caring for crops, and harvesting, which not only supports their daily meals but also gives them practical knowledge they can use in the future.
Agriculture has become more than just a source of food—it is helping us build self-reliance, reduce costs, and create a sense of pride among the children. It is a step toward sustainability and a better future, where the home can continue to grow and support every child with dignity and care.
“At Beautiful ICLAM Orphanage Uganda, we are guided by God’s Word to care for widows in their time of need. Through compassion and generosity from well-wishers, we support widows with essential needs, comfort, and hope. We walk alongside them, helping restore their strength, faith, and confidence for a better future.”
